The scholarship is intended to be used at a Maryland undergraduate, graduate, technical, or career school during the 2023-2024 academic year, and can be used for undergraduate, graduate, or qualifying
career studies and career training. There may be circumstances the scholarship may be used at an institution outside of Maryland; however, specific requirements establishing a unique major status must be met.

To be considered complete, you must:
1.  Complete this application (Link to the form is on the right)
2. Include a copy of your transcript (Unofficial is acceptable). MHEC requires you must also have completed the FAFSA by March 1, 2023.
3. Complete the two short-essay questions about your goals and your financial need
4. A letter of reference from an academic source (teacher, professor, adviser) and a letter of reference from a community (Not Family) member (employer, community leader, neighbor . . .  an adult professional who can speak about your accomplishments and potential).
